Event Guidelines

• Skate safely: Marshals will do their best to ensure everyone’s safety, but you are responsible for your own well-being. Please wear protective gear (helmet, pads, wrist guards, etc.). If you experience any issues or fall, we’ll stop at a safe location to assist.
• Skate within your abilities: This event is designed for intermediate/advanced skaters. You should be able to stop, turn, manage curbs, navigate slopes, and maintain a speed of 8-10 mph for 10-12 miles. Speak to a marshal if you’re unsure.
• Stay with the group: Keep behind the lead marshal and in front of the rear marshals. Overtaking the lead or falling too far behind can pose safety risks.
• Respect marshals: Follow their directions and leave space for them to pass. Always skate to the left of the road and make space for marshals to move ahead.
• Check your equipment: Make sure your skates and protective gear are secure before starting.
• Respect everyone: Be courteous to other participants, marshals, and the public. Disrespectful behavior may lead to exclusion from the event.
• Attend the briefing: The briefing is essential to understanding the route and safety procedures.
• Substance-free: The use of alcohol or other substances during the event is prohibited. Anyone who appears impaired will not be allowed to participate.
• Age requirement: Minimum age of 18, or accompanied by a responsible adult.
• Filming: Photography and video will be taken during the event and may be used for publicity. Feel free to capture your own moments and share on social media.
• Weather: The event will only be canceled if conditions are unsafe. Use your judgment on participation based on weather conditions.
