Skate Terminal policies

Terms for a safer, clearer skating directory.

These Terms govern your use of Skate Terminal, including accounts, listings, claims, reminders, calendars, maps, routes, purchases, public submissions, and interactions with third-party events and services.

Last updated: June 20, 2026

The essentials

Use Skate Terminal responsibly.

Skate Terminal helps people discover skating events, places, communities, routes, and related resources. It is a directory and technology platform—not the organizer of every listed activity and not a replacement for official event, venue, route, or safety information.

Verify important details

Dates, routes, prices, access rules, weather plans, and venue requirements can change. Confirm critical information with the official organizer or venue before traveling or paying.

Submit only what you may share

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, permissions, media rights, and public-contact information in listings, comments, reviews, routes, and other content you submit.

Claim honestly

Claim links and accounts may be used only by authorized owners, organizers, representatives, or people with a legitimate right to manage the relevant listing.

Skate at your own risk

Skating, travel, public-road use, trails, events, and route navigation involve risk. Evaluate conditions, ability, equipment, traffic, laws, and safety requirements for yourself.

Section 1

Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Skate Terminal regarding your access to and use of SkateTerminal.com and its related features, content, communications, tools, and services.

By visiting or using Skate Terminal, creating an account, submitting or claiming a listing, saving an event, connecting a calendar, uploading a route, making a purchase, or otherwise using a feature, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the relevant feature.

Section 2

Skate Terminal’s Role

Skate Terminal is a directory, discovery, publishing, and technology platform for skating-related events, places, communities, routes, sessions, organizations, resources, and related services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Skate Terminal is not the organizer, venue operator, ticket seller, registration provider, coach, route owner, transportation provider, equipment supplier, employer, agent, partner, or representative of a listed third party. A listing does not automatically constitute endorsement, certification, affiliation, or a guarantee.

Section 3

Eligibility and Authority

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or submit personal information. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

If you act for an event, club, company, venue, community, team, school, organizer, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity and manage the submitted or claimed information.

Section 4

Accounts and Account Security

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
  • Maintain one account per person unless Skate Terminal authorizes another arrangement.
  • Keep passwords, login links, verification links, and connected-account credentials confidential.
  • Do not sell, transfer, share, or lend an account or impersonate another person or organization.
  • Notify Skate Terminal promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by law. Skate Terminal may require email verification, additional information, or administrative review before enabling sensitive features.

Section 5

Listings, Submissions, and Accuracy

You may submit information about events, places, communities, venues, organizers, routes, schedules, registration, categories, images, contacts, links, and related resources where the feature is available.

You agree that submitted information will:

  • Be reasonably accurate, complete, current, and not misleading.
  • Identify dates, recurring schedules, locations, organizers, prices, registration terms, age limits, and access requirements clearly where relevant.
  • Not include private personal information, confidential material, or sensitive locations that should not be publicly disclosed.
  • Not falsely imply approval, ownership, sponsorship, affiliation, certification, or authorization.
  • Comply with applicable laws, platform rules, venue restrictions, and third-party rights.

Skate Terminal may edit formatting, normalize fields, correct clear errors, merge duplicates, relate listings, request verification, add source links, archive stale records, or decline publication. We do not guarantee that every submission will be published or remain published.

Section 6

Imported and Public-Source Information

To improve discovery, Skate Terminal may create or update listings using information from official websites, public social profiles, public event pages, public calendars, venue pages, registration pages, organizer announcements, and other publicly available sources.

Public-source listings may initially be held by an administrative or import account until an authorized owner claims them. If you are an organizer, rights holder, or authorized representative, you may request correction, verification, attribution, ownership review, or removal through the available contact or claim process.

The presence of public information in the directory does not transfer ownership of an organizer’s brand, logo, photograph, event, or other intellectual property to Skate Terminal.
Section 7

User Content and Permission to Use It

You retain ownership of content you create and submit, subject to the rights of any underlying owners. To operate and promote the directory, you grant Skate Terminal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, resize, adapt for technical display, publish, distribute, display, and promote that content in connection with Skate Terminal and its listings.

This license lasts while the content is available through the service and for a reasonable period in backups, archives, promotional records, and legal or security records. You may request removal, but removal may not be immediate or complete where the content was shared, cached, backed up, legally retained, or incorporated into records that must remain.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to grant this license and that the content does not violate law, privacy, publicity, contract, confidentiality, trademark, copyright, or other rights.

Section 8

Images, Logos, Video, Trademarks, and Copyright

Upload or link only media and branding that you own, are authorized to use, or may lawfully publish. Do not remove ownership notices, watermarks, credits, or rights-management information.

Skate Terminal may remove, restrict, replace, or disable disputed media or links while reviewing a rights complaint. A complaint should identify the protected work, the disputed material and its location, the complainant’s contact details, the basis for the claim, and a statement that the information is accurate and the complainant is authorized to act.

Report a rights concern

Include the listing URL, affected material, ownership basis, and supporting details.

Section 9

AI-Assisted Research, Import, and Update Tools

Skate Terminal may use automated or AI-assisted systems to identify potential listings, organize public information, normalize fields, detect duplicates, compare current and proposed values, suggest relationships, or support administrative review.

Automated results can be incomplete, stale, duplicated, or incorrect. They are provided as workflow assistance and do not guarantee accuracy. Skate Terminal may use review queues, current-value checks, approval controls, and rollback tools, but errors may still occur. Users and organizers should verify important information and report problems.

Section 10

Listing Claims and Owner Outreach

Skate Terminal may contact a public organizer email associated with an imported listing to request confirmation, correction, or a claim. The recipient may confirm the information, state that the listing is not theirs, or begin a claim process.

Claim and invitation links may be signed, time-limited, and bound to the listing or contact email. You may use them only if you are the legitimate owner, organizer, venue representative, or otherwise authorized to manage that listing. Forwarding, intercepting, guessing, or misusing a claim link is prohibited.

Visiting a link alone does not guarantee account creation, approval, ownership transfer, verification, or publication. Skate Terminal may require login, registration, email confirmation, a claim package, supporting evidence, or administrator approval. Claims may be approved, rejected, suspended, reversed, or reassigned if ownership, authority, payment, or safety concerns arise.

Section 11

Saved Events, Reminders, Change Alerts, and Email

Reminder and alert features are conveniences only. Messages may be delayed, blocked, duplicated, cancelled as stale, sent with outdated information, or not delivered because of technical issues, email filtering, queue limits, incorrect contact details, schedule changes, or third-party service failures.

You remain responsible for checking official event details and deadlines. Do not rely on a reminder as the sole source for travel, registration, safety, payment, or attendance decisions.

You may unsubscribe from optional messages using available controls. Skate Terminal may still send essential account, security, transaction, claim-status, or legal communications.

Section 12

Calendar Connections and Event Sync

If you connect Google Calendar or another supported calendar, you authorize Skate Terminal to perform the calendar actions shown in the feature or authorization screen, which may include creating, updating, synchronizing, or removing calendar entries at your direction.

Calendar entries may contain inaccurate or stale listing information. A disconnected integration may stop future sync without deleting entries already created. You are responsible for reviewing your calendar, resolving duplicates or conflicts, protecting the connected account, and revoking access when no longer wanted.

Section 13

Maps, Addresses, Device Location, GPX, and Route Tools

Maps, routing, geocoding, elevation, turn descriptions, distance, street names, trail information, GPX files, route previews, downloadable files, and printouts are generated from submitted data and third-party mapping or routing services. They may be incomplete, imprecise, unavailable, or unsuitable for skating.

A route line does not confirm legal access, safe pavement, lighting, traffic separation, construction status, trail condition, opening hours, permission, slope, surface quality, weather, accessibility, or emergency support. “Follow roads,” loop generation, snapping, reverse, elevation, and similar functions can produce unexpected or unsafe results.

Device location is used only when you request it and grant browser permission, but you are responsible for checking the resulting position and route. Do not publish private homes, sensitive access points, restricted areas, or routes you are not authorized to share.

Section 14

Skating Safety and Assumption of Risk

Skating, racing, training, traveling, attending public events, using streets or trails, performing tricks, and following routes can involve falls, collisions, traffic, weather, terrain, equipment failure, physical exertion, and serious injury or death.

You are responsible for assessing your ability, health, equipment, protective gear, route, traffic, weather, surface, local law, supervision, emergency plan, and event requirements. Follow official instructions, posted rules, closures, laws, and safety guidance. Stop when conditions are unsafe.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume the risks associated with activities you choose to discover, attend, organize, or follow using Skate Terminal.
Section 15

Third-Party Events, Organizers, Products, and Links

External websites, organizers, venues, communities, shops, registration systems, ticketing providers, maps, social platforms, payment providers, and embedded services are independent from Skate Terminal. Their terms, privacy practices, prices, refund rules, safety standards, and content apply to your interaction.

Skate Terminal does not control and is not responsible for third-party cancellations, injuries, conduct, products, payments, routes, facilities, communications, data practices, or failure to deliver a service.

Section 16

Purchases, Paid Listings, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Prices, features, billing periods, renewal terms, taxes, package limits, and activation timing will be shown at checkout or on the relevant offer where applicable. You authorize the displayed charge and agree to provide accurate billing information.

Digital listing services, claim packages, promotions, subscriptions, sponsored placements, or custom work may begin when activated. Refund and cancellation eligibility is governed by the applicable offer and the Refund and Returns Policy. Automatic renewal applies only when clearly stated during purchase.

Payments made directly to an organizer, venue, shop, ticketing platform, or other third party are governed by that seller’s terms. Skate Terminal cannot issue a refund for a payment it did not process.

Review the refund rules

See the dedicated policy for digital services, third-party purchases, and refund requests.

Section 17

Sponsored Content, Advertising, and Promotions

Skate Terminal may display sponsored listings, advertising, affiliate links, partnerships, featured placements, or promotional content. Where appropriate, commercial content may be labeled.

Sponsorship or payment may affect placement or visibility but does not eliminate the user’s responsibility to evaluate an event, product, service, organizer, route, or venue. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for their claims, offers, products, services, and compliance.

Section 18

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Skate Terminal to:

Misrepresent identity or authority Impersonate, submit false ownership claims, hijack listings, or mislead users.
Publish unlawful or harmful content Post threats, harassment, discrimination, defamation, fraud, exploitation, or illegal material.
Violate rights Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights.
Attack or bypass the service Probe security, evade access controls, upload malware, overload systems, or disrupt operation.
Scrape or harvest improperly Collect accounts, emails, listing data, or content at scale without authorization or lawful basis.
Spam or manipulate Send unsolicited messages, create fake reviews, manipulate rankings, or submit duplicate listings.
Misuse routes or location Publish sensitive locations, unsafe instructions, restricted access, or knowingly deceptive route data.
Resell without permission Commercialize Skate Terminal data, access, exports, or features except through an authorized agreement.
Section 19

Skate Terminal Intellectual Property

The Skate Terminal name, branding, original site design, software, databases, workflows, graphics, text, taxonomies, interfaces, and other original platform materials are owned by Skate Terminal or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws.

These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the website for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership or authorize copying, reverse engineering, republication, resale, or creation of a competing database except where law does not permit that restriction.

Section 20

Review, Moderation, Suspension, and Termination

Skate Terminal may review, edit, restrict, unpublish, archive, merge, transfer, or remove listings and content; reject or reverse claims; limit communications; suspend features; or disable accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate disputes, address rights complaints, prevent abuse, correct data, comply with law, or protect platform integrity.

You may stop using the service at any time. Account closure does not automatically erase public listings, transaction records, claim history, backups, legal records, or content that Skate Terminal has a lawful reason to retain. Privacy requests are handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Section 21

Service and Information Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skate Terminal is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, error-free, complete, timely, or accurate operation.

We do not warrant listing accuracy, organizer authority, event availability, registration capacity, route safety, venue access, equipment suitability, delivery of reminders, calendar accuracy, claim approval, external content, search results, map data, AI-assisted output, or third-party services.

Content is provided for general directory and informational purposes and is not medical, legal, financial, engineering, navigation, emergency, coaching, or professional safety advice.

Section 22

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skate Terminal and its owners, personnel, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunity, business interruption, reputational harm, travel costs, missed events, injuries, or losses arising from third-party conduct or services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Skate Terminal’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to Skate Terminal for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the previous twelve months or US $100, except where applicable law requires a different remedy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Section 23

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Skate Terminal and its owners, personnel, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your content, listing, route, event, claim, account, commercial activity, breach of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another person’s rights.

This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Skate Terminal’s own unlawful conduct or where applicable law does not permit the obligation.

Section 24

Informal Resolution, Applicable Law, and Disputes

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact Skate Terminal with a description of the issue and allow a reasonable opportunity, ordinarily 30 days, to attempt an informal resolution.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Skate Terminal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, while preserving mandatory consumer protections and rights that apply where you live. A court with lawful jurisdiction over the parties and dispute may hear claims that are not resolved informally.

Section 25

Changes to the Service or These Terms

Skate Terminal may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, limits, listing types, integrations, prices, packages, or services. We may update these Terms when the service, law, providers, or business practices change.

Updated Terms will be posted with a revised date. When required, material changes may also be communicated through the website, account, or email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.

Section 26

General Terms

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Returns Policy, and any offer-specific terms form the agreement for the relevant use or purchase.
  • Severability: If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective, and the invalid provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without written permission. Skate Terminal may assign them in connection with a business transfer, reorganization, or service operation.
  • No agency: These Terms do not create employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise, fiduciary, or agency relationships between you and Skate Terminal.
  • Headings: Headings are provided for convenience and do not limit the meaning of a provision.
  • Electronic communications: You agree that notices and records may be provided electronically where permitted by law.
Section 27
