This exciting inline skating race features various divisions with different distances and challenges! Whether you're aiming to complete a single lap or push yourself in the Maximum Reaper division, this course offers a thrilling experience.
Course Details:
The entire race will be held on a 7.2-mile clockwise loop. Here are the details for each division:
Single Spicy Lap: Complete a single lap of the course (7.2 miles).
Maximum Reaper: Complete 5 laps, totaling 36 miles.
Course Features:
Hilly Terrain: Skaters should be comfortable with controlling their speed downhill.
Right-Hand Turn: There is one right-hand turn near the start/finish line, which will be monitored by a marshal.
Open Road Course: The course is low-traffic, but skaters must adhere to the “yellow line rule” – staying within the course boundaries at all times.
Relay Zone: The last 200 meters before the finish line is split into two lanes for relay team hand-offs. Solo Moreathon skaters should stay left to maintain pace and merge right safely.
Event Schedule:
7:15 AM: On-site registration and packet pick-up open.
8:25 AM: Pre-race safety briefing for Single Spicy Lap & Maximum Reaper.
8:30 AM: Single Spicy Lap & Stage 1 of Maximum Reaper races start.
9:25 AM: Pre-race safety briefing for Marathon & Relay.
9:30 AM: Moreathon, Relay, & Stage 2 of Maximum Reaper begin.
Relay Information 🏁:
Teams of 2, 3, or 4 skaters can compete in the Marathon.
Teams may be same-gender, mixed-gender, or mixed-discipline.
Junior Teams: Must have members aged 14 years or younger.
Relay Team Fee: $140 (team captain registers all members).
Awards 🏅:
Single Spicy Lap: Time cut-off at 10:00 AM (90 minutes).
Moreathon: Time cut-off at 1:00 PM (3.5 hours).
Skaters must be present to receive prizes. Categories include:
Men’s & Women’s Overall Inline
Men’s & Women’s Overall Quad
Men’s & Women’s 12 & Under
Men’s & Women’s 13-18
Marathon Relay: Top 3 Teams, Top Junior Team, Best Team Name
Maximum Reaper: Top 3 Overall Finishers
Age categories are determined by the participant’s age on race day.
Safety Information ⚠️:
Mandatory Safety Briefing: 5 minutes before each race start.
Required Gear: Helmets are mandatory; wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads are recommended for added safety.
Course Safety: The course will be monitored by course marshals, with a police escort leading the event. Skaters must remain aware of their surroundings and fellow competitors.
