The Original San Francisco Friday Night Skate is a long-running weekly street skate through San Francisco. The official group currently directs skaters to meet on Friday evenings at Ferry Plaza, across from the Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street. Skaters generally arrive around 8:30 PM and roll at approximately 9:00 PM.
The outing covers an urban route and may continue toward midnight, so participants should be prepared for sustained night skating on active city streets. Reliable stopping and speed control are important. Bring a helmet, protective gear, lights or reflective clothing, and water.
The meeting point, route, pace, and weather decision can change. Check the official San Francisco Friday Night Skate Facebook group before traveling and follow the organizer’s most recent instructions.
