River Avenue Skate Park is a 10,000-square-foot concrete skate park located in the Bronx, New York, near the 161st Yankee Stadium Station. Built in 2010, it sits on what was previously a parking lot for Yankee Stadium and is part of the River Avenue Parks project, which aimed to replace public spaces lost during stadium construction. The park features a mix of street and transition elements and is known for hosting the annual "Battle for the Bronx" skate contest
Additionally, the park is named in honor of skateboard legend Andy Kessler and includes a street plaza with stairs, ledges, rails, banks, and a four-foot mini ramp. The bowl section, which is 11 feet deep, requires full protective gear and a signed waiver. Inline skates are permitted, but bikes are not allowed
