Freedom Skatepark Jamaica is a community skatepark in Eight Mile Bull Bay, near Kingston, built with local partners and community members as a shared space for skating and connection. The park spans roughly 1,300 square metres and was developed by Concrete Jungle Foundation alongside people from the area, giving it a strong local character from the start.
The park includes both street and transition features, so it can support different skating styles and a range of experience levels. For local skaters, it offers a dedicated place to practise, meet other riders, and be part of a growing skateboarding scene in Jamaica.
Beyond the terrain itself, Freedom Skatepark is tied to broader community work. Concrete Jungle Foundation’s Edu-Skate programme links skateboarding with personal and social development, with a focus on confidence, communication, resilience, goal setting, cooperation, creativity, and safe skatepark behaviour. A loaner-board programme also helps make the space more accessible for children and young people who may not have their own equipment.
