General Information

Women’s Flat Track Derby Association

The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is the international governing body for women’s flat-track roller derby and a membership organization through which leagues collaborate, network, and develop the sport.

Rules and competition

WFTDA publishes the official rules of flat-track roller derby, officiating resources, competition requirements, rankings information, tournament procedures, and educational material for skaters, officials, coaches, and league administrators. Sanctioned competition and postseason events follow the current WFTDA rules and event-specific tournament documentation.

Member leagues

Leagues can apply for WFTDA membership and participate in a global network focused on governance, competition, education, and organizational development. Membership requirements and competitive eligibility are separate processes, so teams should review the current application, insurance, charter, sanctioning, and ranking rules that apply to their situation.

Events and broadcasts

WFTDA organizes and supports regional postseason competition and championships, with schedules, brackets, participating teams, venue information, ticketing, and streaming published through its official tournament pages. Details change by season and host location.

Before participating or attending: use the official WFTDA website to confirm the current rule set, member status, event schedule, roster and eligibility requirements, officiating information, tickets, broadcast access, and results. Tournament-specific documents override general organization information.
