Athens to Atlanta (A2A)

Athens to Atlanta Road Skate is a historic distance-skating event rather than an active upcoming race. The official A2A site now describes it as America’s oldest and most famous road skate, established in 1982, with its final event held in 2024.

For Skate Terminal, this page should preserve A2A as an important archive and reference for distance skaters, not promote it as an upcoming annual event unless the organizers announce a revival. The classic event included the 87-mile Athens-to-Atlanta route, shorter 38- and 49-mile options, and an Athens 10K.
